Compound Health is a near-infrared wearable that provides gold-standard accuracy to measure your true caloric burn and body composition (fat, muscle, water) with results available in a mobile app in under 5 seconds. Our device is targeted for fitness enthusiasts to accurately and quickly measure their body composition.
Your body (fat, muscle, and water) absorb light and glow back different colors through spectrums of light wavelengths (fat 928nm, water at 970nm, and muscle at 1030nm) and Near-Infrared shoots harmless light 1cm into the tissue to detect this makeup with a high degree of precision.
We marry well-researched (40 years by the U.S.D.A), proven technology and science with modern software experience for human applications on metabolism and body composition.

Marcin and I both have moms that are going through post-menopause. We created Venus Well (http://unbouncepages.com/venus-well/) in 4 weeks, a personalized vitamin service targeting symptoms related to the cycle of menopause for middle-age women.
We quickly learned that women affected by menopause prefer to get their health recommendations from a trusted source (ie: OBGYN, PCP) and the d2c model wouldn’t work until we landed some experts on staff and built a 1-on-1 consultation service. Knowing this, plus not having a 100% passion in the space gave us clarity to pursue other ideas.
We eventually shut down Venus Well and it never took off, but we got a lot of encouragement from our moms.
How long have the founders known one another and how did you meet? Have any of the founders not met in person?
Marcin and I have known each other for 6 years. Marcin and I went through Plug & Play's Health Accelerator Batch 4. We were desk mates when I was working on Thryve (www.thryveinside.com) and him on Dr. Poket (www.drpoket.com). Outside of work, we work out together 3x/week at the gym across the street (Planet Granite).
How far along are you?
We founded the company and started product development 4 weeks ago and have both a hardware / software prototype. We launched our eComm website (2 weeks ago) to start capturing leads and preorders and have generated $1700 in revenue.
